The Shadow War Begins
The Bespin Gambit and Four Figure Packs Are Now Available for Imperial Assault
“Hold them in the security tower, and keep it quiet. Move.”
–Lando Calrissian, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
A spy has infiltrated the Imperial Security Bureau headquarters on Cloud City—but now, that daring spy has vanished, along with his crucial data. Rebel operatives and ISB agents alike are racing to find the spy, and a shadow war is about to break out on Bespin. Enter a world of espionage and sabotage with The Bespin Gambit and four figure packs, all now available for Imperial Assault at your local United States retailer!
The Bespin Gambit invites you to travel into one of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars saga: Cloud City. Here, you’ll walk the gleaming hallways and dive into the grimy undercity as you search for a missing spy in possession of vital information. This expansion includes an entirely new mini-campaign for Imperial Assault, new skirmish missions that invite two players to go head-to-head in a battle for Bespin, and eleven sculpted plastic figures.
Alongside The Bespin Gambit, you can add new layers to your campaigns and skirmishes with four new figure packs: the Lando Calrissian Ally Pack, the Agent Blaise Villain Pack, the ISB Infiltrators Villain Pack, and the Bossk Villain Pack. Each of these expansions offers beautifully sculpted plastic figures, new campaign and skirmish missions, and a host of new cards that invite you to customize every game of Imperial Assault.
You Truly Belong Here with Us
Our first preview of The Bespin Gambit focused on the new tools gained by the Rebels. Two new heroes join the Alliance, each boasting unique talents. Davith Elso is a Force user who excels at stealth operations, using the Force to get close to his targets before he strikes without warning. Murne Rin, on the other hand, is an Ithorian spymaster who can sow anarchy and misinformation through enemy ranks, even forcing them to attack each other at a crucial moment. Whether you use these heroes in a campaign or as part of your skirmish strike team, they can be powerful assets for your side.
Next, we turned to those who oppose the Rebels’ mission. Within this expansion, you’ll find members of the renowned Cloud City Wing Guard—the peace-keeping force that can always be found working for the highest bidder. If the Wing Guard control the upper levels of Cloud City, many of the lower levels are the domain of Ugnaught Tinkerers. These canny mechanics are highly skilled and can create mechanical companions from the junk that surrounds them, making them much more dangerous than they first appear.
After focusing on the main expansion, we turned our attention to the four figure packs that correspond to The Bespin Gambit. In the Lando Calrissian Ally Pack, you have the option to secure this charming scoundrel’s help for the Rebel Alliance. Lando Calrissian can hold his own in a fight, but even more useful is his willingness to cheat the odds, ensuring that he always attains results far beyond what your opponent might expect.
If you prefer to stand on the side of the Empire, you can take command of ISB forces on Bespin with the Agent Blaise Villain Pack. Agent Blaise is a skilled interrogator and a ruthless captain, and he can support your goals in any mission, whether he’s increasing your threat during a campaign or decimating your opponent’s Command cards in a skirmish. Similarly, you can also benefit from the highly trained agents included in the ISB Infiltrators Villain Pack. ISB Infiltrators excel at working together, and though you’ll want to keep them close together, this can translate into more attacks against the Rebel scum.
Finally, we joined the Mercenaries of the galaxy with the Bossk Villain Pack. Bossk is one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, and one of his most recent contracts has taken him to Bespin. As a fighter, Bossk is almost unmatched—a life spent on the hunt has given him combat skills that other fighters can only aspire to. You may choose to take your mark in dead or alive: the only thing that matters is that you can collect your reward, and Bossk gives you the raw skills you need to complete your mission.
