Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the 2014 Regional Championship Season for Android: Netrunner . Regional Championship applications for Android: Netrunner have been rezzed and are now online !

Retailers are invited to apply now for this year’s regional season, running from May 1st through July 31st.

Regional events are premier tournaments sanctioned by Fantasy Flight Games and our international partners and serve as a big step toward our annual World Championships in November.

If you are a United States retailer or tournament organizer interested in hosting a 2014 Regional Championship event, fill out our online application form before February 5th 23:59 CST (Central Standard Time) to be considered.

If you are a retailer outside of the United States, please contact your distributor to apply to host a Regional Championship or ask questions. International applications must be submitted before February 5th 23:59 CST (Central Standard Time) to be considered.

The Expansion of Organized Play

With Store Championships giving each store a chance to host a premier tournament and the winner of those tournaments being granted a first-round bye at a Regional Championship, Regional Championships can now take their true place within the Organized Play structure, as a gateway to National Championships.

The number of Regional Championships in each country will vary depending on population. In the United States, each region will host up to two Android: Netrunner Regional Championships (see map below), with each event attracting the highest level of competition. Whether you are an established corporation with the newest tech on the market or a newly plugged-in runner wanting to show off your personal rig, a Regional Championship is the place to be.
 

Regional Championship Prizes

A bye is not the only prize up for grabs at Android: Netrunner Regional Championships. Each Regional Championship kit comes with exclusive prizes. Each kit this year has gotten bigger, with prizes for up to 64 players.

• One acrylic 2014 Regional trophy and one certificate granting the winner a bye at a National Championship
• Four double-sided, spot-glossed identity cards featuring Andromeda and Cerebral Imaging
• Eight Regional Top 8 playmats
• Sixteen packs of ten acrylic virus tokens
• Sixty-four alternate art cards
• One head judge playmat

Apply today by completing the United States online application form for the chance to host some of the most enthusiastic and daring runners in your area. International retailers and tournament organizers should complete the international form to apply. Don’t wait! The application server will be unplugged on February 5th 23:59 CST (Central Standard Time), closing applications for the 2014 Regional Championships.
