Long buried and thought forgotten by all but the most obsessed scholars, Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the return of the The Mountains of Madness and Ancient Horrors Asylum Packs! In addition to returning these two Asylum Packs for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game to the world of the living, these packs have also been updated to the new 60-card per pack format (3 copies each of 20 unique cards).
The cards of The Mountains of Madness and Ancient Horrors include updated rules text based on the most recent FAQ and Errata , reintroducing these classic Asylum Packs to the Call of Cthulhu metagame.
The Mountains of Madness is themed around the H.P. Lovecraft short novel of the same name about a doomed Miskatonic University research expedition to Antarctica. This Asylum Pack features Polar events, Alaskan Sledge Dogs, Antarctic Monsters , and more!
Ancient Horrors centers around Monsters , Ancient Ones , and the brave (or insane) hunters that stalk them. Both Investigators and servitors of the Mythos will find powerful allies in this pack, such as Ghoulish Worshipper, Safari Hunter, Aspiring Artist, and new Ancient Ones Bokrug, Ghatanothoa, Atlach-Nacha, and others.
Coming this summer, The Mountains of Madness and Ancient Horrors return, new and improved, with more cards and more opportunities for exciting game play. Madness and Horror await you in Call of Cthulhu this summer! And... be sure to keep an eye out for more Call of Cthulhu reprints, coming soon!
Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle,
Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game
