In the mystical land of Rokugan, bushi and mystical shugenja clash on the battlefield with metal and magic. Elegant courtiers spark political intrigues with a stray gesture. The daimyō of the Great Clans see to the reinforcement of their strongholds, keenly aware that this is an age of sudden change and upheaval—with whispers of discord and strife blowing in the wind.

Above it all, Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game is uniquely devoted to its community.

Players pledge their loyalty to one of the Great Clans and, in so doing, immediately become part of struggles far larger than any one person. Through your participation in its battles and intrigues, Rokugan comes to life. And you'll soon have another chance to step more fully into this rich and fantastical world. Retailers are now pre-ordering their Season One Stronghold Kits for Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game Organized Play. These will lead to more chances to play, more opportunities to meet new players, and a deeper and more rewarding experience of the game and the world of Rokugan.

The Stronghold Kit

Designed to support in-store play for up to 32 players over a period of three months, a Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game Stronghold Kit is full of extended art cards and tokens. These are your rewards for competing and upholding your clan's honor.

It's up to your retailer to decide how to use a Stronghold Kit: twelve weekly events, three monthly events, or a combination of weekly and monthly events. There will be four Stronghold Kits released each year, and your retailer can obtain one of each. If your group is larger than 32 players, your retailer can support the larger group with Reinforcement Kits, which contain additional copies of the cards from the corresponding Stronghold Kit.

Each Stronghold Kit also supports a special event or initiative, which will vary from competitive clashes to welcoming events for new players. This Season One kit supports a special Stronghold Showdown—a fierce competition intended to determine the best player from each clan and crown an overall champion for your store.
